Wooden Putters
Our hand-crafted putters are produced by the last traditional club-makers in St. Andrews.
The wooden putterheads are made from maple and have brass soleplates engraved as required.
This combination provides the putting 'feel', which is very often missing with metal putters.
Maple is used for the putterheads, providing an attractively 'grained' face to the putter.
The wood is turned by hand and a cavity is created in the head to allow the addition of molten lead, giving the head the desired weight.
A brass soleplate, which can be etched to your requirements, is then glued to the head and also fixed to the wood with countersunk brass screws.
The putterhead is then stained or painted in your selected color before receiving up to five coats of lacquer. (Putter shown with red stain to the head. Click on image.)
Your putter can be finished with a hickory shaft and suede grip to give a traditional appearance, or steel
shaft and rubber grip for a more contemporary look. Either style is available in both right and left hand.
Each putter comes with a protective cover in a matching color or the tartan of your choice.

Putters in Your Own Tartan
The putterhead is hand-painted in your selected tartan before
numerous coats of lacquer are applied to protect the plaid design.
The putterheads are made from maple and are attractively finished with brass soleplates.
Putters are available with traditional hickory shafts and leather grips or steel shafts with rubber grips.
Company logos or trademarks can be engraved into the brass soleplates to produce an eye-catching corporate/incentive gift and promotional item.
Each putter comes with a matching tartan headcover.

Heather Gem Putters
The 'HeatherGems' putter is made from natural heather stems. The heather is cleaned and then the stems
are dyed and compressed into a solid block. This block is then cut into slices and shaped into individual
pieces by skilled crafts people. The piece is then inserted into the face of the putter. As shown above,
the putter can have a green insert or red insert with the putterhead stained to suit.
Every piece is hand-made and original, no two are ever exactly the same, making this the perfect Scottish gift.
The putterhead style was the shape popular around the end of the 19th century.
